The UNITWIN\/UNESCO Chairs Program is pleased to invite you to the next Dialogue on Futures<\/a>, which will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Paris time),<\/strong> online, in English<\/a> and French.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This session, on \u2018Transcending boundaries: Futures thinking for addressing systemic challenges<\/a><\/u><\/em>\u2019<\/em>, will consider how futures thinking can support innovative approaches to inform policymaking, in the context of the complexity and interconnectedness of the challenges confronting the world today. Futures thinking is a systemic approach to planning, preparing, and imagining a plurality of future possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Futures Dialogue will build on the UNESCO\u2019s observation of World Futures Day<\/a> held in Paris on 2 December 2025 (see recording<\/a> and article<\/a>). It will feature several UNESCO Chairs in futures studies, who will share their insights on how to enhance anticipatory governance at the local, national, and global levels.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
